Because their office was so close to my home I was able to go into their office and speak to them face to face. Graham was extremely knowledgeable and honest. He explained the process to me and actually showed me the going rate for other cars shipping at the same time. He also helped me fill out the paperwork and answered all my questions.
Ordering
Graham said that he didn't think he would be able to get my car shipped at my very low quoted price but said that we would put it out there and see what could be done. This concerned me, b/c why quote me an unlikely price if you know that the busy summer season is coming up?! But, in Graham's defense I think he was just sandbagging and did not want to promise something that he could not guarantee. To both of our surprise and my delight my bid price was picked up after 2 days and my car was picked up by the transporter from my home 3 days later. It arrived in CA the next week a few days before I arrived. I guess the driver had open roads. They held my car at the terminal free of charge; and offered to bring it to me for free as well. But, I chose to go pick it up myself. It was pretty dirty and had some fluids dripped on it from another car, (should have sprung for the top load option.) but was undamaged and ready to go. I paid the remainder of the transportation less my deposit to the driver with a cashiers check and was free to go.
All things considered, the short length of time between my contacting Graham and my expected delivery date, my low quote price and the long distance of my move; Amerifreight and Graham have met or exceeded all of my expectations.
