Poor service/unwilling to communicate with customer

I contracted with AmeriFreight on 12/15 to ship a car from Boston Area to Denver Area. Contract indicated "approximate" time to find a carrier was within 7 work days. THREE WEEKS AFTER CONTRACT SIGNED, car still not picked up/no availability of carrier to pick up car, according to rep from Ameri-Freight. My biggest frustration was communication with the rep from the firm was poor to non-existent - unanswered e-mails, phone calls not responded to at all, or days later.

If a firm is in a business like this, requiring communication back and forth with the customer, for crying out loud COMMUNICATE. And, hire and train reps who understand this is part of their job.

It is unfortunate that this customer had a bad experience wit AmeriFreight. The customer did decide to take the economy saver rate that does not guarantee pickup time. This time of the year it is especially hard to locate a carrier at the lower rate and we encourage customers to consider the premium options. The communication complaint is however disconcerting. We take the complaint seriously and will do our best to try and avoid this happening again.
