AmeriFreight was a very good service provider. I called them needing an auto moved from Georgia to Conneticut. The service rep answered right away and provided an overview of how the process works. As you may know, AmeriFreight doesn't do the actual shipping. Rather, they coordinate with an open market system. The rep provided insight on how to price my bid so that it could be accepted rather quickly. At the end of the day, it was my option on how to price the move. We agreed that five hundred dollars would be good quote to attract attention. It worked as I got a call that very day. The range of offers from Gerogia went from three hundred dollars to seven hundred dollars. The AmerFreight rep was good because he checked what was moving and not moving. This was an important insiight if you want your car picked up quickly.

The AmeriFreight system worked well as they followed up to ensure I had contact information from the driver and from the driver's company. I felt like they were very involved in making sure that I had the information that I needed.

The transport provider came two days later. He was very professional. He loaded the car at my home with no hassle or issues. The car arrived in CT threedays later (one of the days was a Sunday and I assume he didn't work that day because he was a preacheer). The car arrived safely with no issues.

One important thing to know is that you have to have cash at the delivery end. I had to make sure that my son had the five hundred dollars in cash, no checks. AmeriFreight bills you directly on your credit card for their portion. I think that was just under two hundred dollars. That's how they make their money, directly from you.
