Absolutely would use Amerifreight again

AmeriFreight was my 2nd choice and should have been my 1st. Customer service is fantastic!

I bought a car on eBay and went with the cheapest shipper suggested on their web site. Big mistake. That company couldn't find a truck over a four week period. After I'd given up with the first company the seller told me that another buyer had used AmeriFrieight and I called them right away. What I got from AmeriFreight was a very knowledgeable explanation of the shipping process and fantastic customer service. They helped me set a price for the transport that would actually attract a carrier and ... found one within 24 hours. They sent me detailed info on the move including contact information for the carrier and even personal cellphone numbers to call late on a Saturday afternoon. Absolutely stellar customer service.

The only caveat regarding the whole experience was the carrier itself. The car arrived fine, or at least appeared so when I inspected it. But afterwards I found out from the seller that the carrier nearly dropped the car off of the trailer when loading. The ramp wasn't secured, and the car knocked the ramp off and fell on it's frame. The seller actually had to lend the carrier a floor jack to lift the car up enough to squeeze the ramp underneath. Damage was minimal (some scuffs on the frame) but the carrier never volunteered any of this when delivering the car. Lucky for me the damage is trivial.

Does this have anything to do with AmeriFreight? Not much, really. I have suggested to them that they not use that carrier again.

Would I use AmeriFreight again? Absolutely!
