poor communication about drop off

My car was received in good condition, the driver was nice but there was terrible communication between the driver and the car owner and confusion about where, when the truck was arriving b/c all phone numbers given to me by the Carrier contracted-Long Time Auto did not function. Basically I was leaving messages for people that did not respond and the driver said I had the wrong number but I doubted the veracity b/c his boss gave me the number and even woke out of bed to finally take my call about where my car was! he said the name of driver and cell and I never heard a peep from driver until he was within 30 minutes of my home. It was very frustrating to say the least and I know I got economy package but it did not excuse the lack of communication. I asked the carrier if he even had my car when he finally called to deliver b/c it had been over 10 days since I had heard a word. Good luck going economy- if you have any time pressure at all, dont do it.

We have had an opportunity to speak with the customer and have apologized for the lack of the communication. If a customer is ever unable to reach the carrier, our office will do everything we can to assist in the situation. All carriers that do not offer excellent service have their Preferred status with us re-evaluated. And just as the customer said, if you have any time constraints, we recommend the Priority or Select rate. At the Economy rate, the customer must be prepared to accomodate the carrier's schedule. The Economy is ideal for those who have a flexible time window and want to get the most competitive rate.
