Overall, I was unsatisfied with the service provided my Amerifreight and will not use the company again. I felt misled as to the terms and conditions of the arrangement and that I was strong armed into accepting a deal that I did not want. Did not appreciate having to regularly reach out in order to get updates only days before scheduled pick up. Car shipment was the most stressful part of my move and had to pay $200 over quote as well as inconvenience a friend to sign for the car. I understand that as a broker, Amerifreight does not have control over the carriers and is not doing it for charity, but did not feel enough effort was put in to meet quoted terms. Was told that the initial bid was advertised out at half the quoted cost ($500), which is why there were few/no bids or options. Those margins are insanely high for the actual effort required on behalf of Amerifreight. Would argue that practice is borderline unethical, especially using military discounts to entice service members to agree to services and then not meet quote price. On the positive side, Ben seemed like a nice and honest guy that built good rapport. I appreciated his frankness in our conversations.

Pros:
Prompt initial contact.
Great rapport and interpersonal skills.

Cons:
Poor communication after initial contact.
Lack of effort to provide alternatives and to meet quoted terms.
Felt taken advantage of due to inexperience.
Lack of transparency and poor explanation of process.

I will be providing a negative reviews on Yelp and Better Business Bureau. I will not recommend this company to any of my friends, family, or fellow service members.

The carrier met all scheduled times and the car was delivered undamaged.

We apologize for the frustrations this customer encountered with his shipment. This customer chose the Economy saver rate which is only suggested for customers who have a very flexible time frame for shipment. We present all offers from carrier companies, but it is ultimately up to the customer to choose which option works best for them.
