Poor Service

Poor Communication, Poor Customer Service, & Filthy Car. When I was looking for an auto transport service Ultimate Auto Shipping offered one of the best prices and responded quickly. However, as soon as they received the $200 deposit their response time was quite long usually over 24 hours. Also I had trouble opening one of the contract documents (the receipt for my $200), it came in a file my computer did not recognize... so I asked Pat to send it to me as a word document is response was (I will quote from the email he sent)
" I sent the dispatch notice to you and the information is on it. The Carrier is Auto Star and the contact is Jessie. Her number ...." That was the last I heard from him.
Ultimate contracted out to Auto Star Transport, Inc. They were a joke...
First of all they wanted to deliver my car late
Second, so that I could get my car on time I had to agree to have them drive my car 10 miles one way to get it to me, then I had to drive the driver back to his big rig, and then drive myself back home. That alone is 30 extra miles I did not plan to drive.
Third, my car was so filthy it was difficult (actually almost impossible to see out of the windows they were so dirty) I understand that this was outside shipping, but this was really bad... If I could I would post a picture.
Fourth, the driver offered to reimburse me $20 for driving him back to his rig... well that never happened.
All in all I'm just happy to have my car back and there was no permanent damage.

Amber Day, it has been a long time. In fact we had to search our records for your order from last April. We contacted you after your delivery to confirm that you had received the vehicle and never heard back. Your vehicle was delivered without incident in 9 days after pickup and within the 7-10 day time frame quoted from the Carrier. We are sorry to hear that 10 months after delivery your expectations were not met. This Carrier had 9 other vehicles he was hauling and not able to provide daily updates that you were looking for. There are restricted areas where pickups and deliveries are not allowed by law for various reasons and flexibility on the customers behalf becomes necessary. We provide all of the necessary documents for the Company and driver phone number and are involved if there is a problem until you receive the vehicle. This was not the case as you were looking for a quicker turnaround time. When traveling over 3,000 miles across the country the vehicle is going to arrive dirty, naturally. Our phones are always on and we respond in a timely manner to every inquiry.
