My first ever shipping a car experience.Needless to say I had many concerns which multiplied after I posted a request for bids to transport my 2011 BMW 335I from Illinois to Florida.I received multiple bids,with varying cost from cheap($535 to ridiculous($1200 ) .I then did my homework ,read post, reviews, insurance and DMV information.
Now I had a handle on this unregulated industry.I selected two transport companies ( middle to higher in the pack pricing) and phone interviewed both.Both companies had good reviews and the decision hinged on the phone interview.I must say State Way Auto Transport was not the easiest to contact directly but after I left a message I was promptly contacted.They made the process as transparent as possible....not that I now felt completely comfortable...and after some consideration I paid my deposit.I was given a pickup window and actually had to ask for a one day delay on their earliest date, which they accommodated.
Pickup was on the first agreed date and my car arrived unblemished on the scheduled arrival date.
My car pickup was prompt,delivery was on schedule and the agreed price was exactly that which I was given.
Maybe another company could have provided the same service and pricing but should I ever need to transport a vehicle or be asked for a recommendation I will happily use and recommend State Way Auto Transport.
