Stateway Auto Transport Took the Hassle Out of Moving

I first used Stateway Auto Transport back in January/February 2012 when I first moved to California. As a first time customer, I was impressed by how easy and efficient the entire process was. However, it wasn't until I moved back to Illinois from California that I saw the true greatness of the company.

When I started the process of moving for the second time, I handled everything online including shipping my car. By handling everything online, I had very little contact with a real person. Therefore, on the Friday before I was moving, I called Stateway to find out any additional information. Over the phone, Dana told to contact the trucking company Monday morning in order to find out the exact pick-up date and time.

Like Dana instructed, I called the shipping company first thing Monday morning and, to my dismay, spoke to the most unpleasant and rude person. No more than two minutes into the conversation was my mood ruined - I was fuming. The man on the other line haphazardly explained to me that his truck broke down and that it will be in the shop for 5 - 7 days. When I asked him when he was planning to contact me or the third-party company, he angrily explained that he left a message and that the situation was now out of his hands.

In a panic, I immediately called Stateway. I spoke with Kim, who was unbelievably understanding and patient. I re-capped the conversation that I had with the trucking company and explained to her why there was such a sense of immediacy and importance on my part (I lived in California on my own and was leaving the day before Thanksgiving; I had nobody to depend on to take care of my car). At that very moment, Kim dispatched another truck who was leaving that day. I was extremely relieved!

The truck arrived at my apartment on time and took care of everything quickly and easily. Better yet, they arrived two days earlier than the scheduled date!

I would full-heartedly recommend Stateway Auto Transport to anybody moving across country.
