Bad luck with timing, but major efforts to turn things around

I initially posted an honest, but unfavorable review because of massive difficulties I had in getting a hold of anyone once my vehicles were en route, and after delivery when I discovered some damage to the interior of my car back in June. Three different employees from Stateway converged on the situation, pulled up all of their old records, and retrieved email conversations stored on the server so that they could identify where the lapse in communication was so that corrections could be made. Unfortunately for me, at that time they were apparently having some major difficulties with their phone system after some upgrades, as well as a personnel issue, which left me hanging in the wind, but I am assured by their manager that all of those problems have been resolved, and am truly surprised with the effort they put in trying to make things right, especially so many months later when I finally got around to writing my review. I am happy to finally have some resolution and feel pretty convinced that my cars would be in good hands if I used them again.

There were a couple of things that I'm still perplexed about like how they can claim to offer a discount to certain groups of people (ie military), but when you call they tell you that everyone gets a discount, so the price is what it is...but regardless they still beat the next nearest competition in price. And I had a problem with my delivery not being "door-to-door", but I was instructed to immediately call Stateway (otherwise they cannot help since some drivers are contracted) if this ever happens again so they can get a hold of the dispatcher for the driver to find out why the vehicles won't be brought to the delivery address. A good lesson for next time, along with don't just inspect the exterior of the vehicle because that's what's on the checklist/diagram - look over the interior too, BEFORE YOU SIGN THE BILL OF LADING! They're not joking about this - please, please, please save yourself the headache and take the extra two minutes to do it right then and there!

PS - I was not asked or paid by Stateway to revise my review - I am doing it because I feel that I have now heard their side and out of fairness it needs to be shared so that you truly know what kind of a company you're dealing with.
