Terrible Company, Serious lack of communication , I applied for a driver position, was asked to go for a drive with another driver to pick up a vehicle and allow him to review my driving ability. This turned into an 8 hour excursion. Dropping off one car and than going and pick up another 2 hours away from the first. When I returned I went and voluntarily helped the driver load up for his next days run. I was given a letter of offer for the driving position and told to get work shoes real ones not sneakers. (Like i don't know what work shoes are) I was also told i had to have my own jump box, and get a drug test the following day and I was to pay for it. If i lasted 90 days I would be reimbursed for it $45.00 for that, $140 for good steel toed work shoes since my others were old, and $65 for a good jump box. After 4 days i heard nothing, i finally called asking if test came back she said yes all good but didn't like what her driver told her about me questioning about having to pay out of my pocket if i scratch or damage any car. Because she was not going to put anything through her insurance. not a problem i agreed to that being secure in my competency to haul cars.
he than continued to tell me and with an instilling of fear that if i scratch or damage the bottom of the trailer I would have to pay for that too. Like $2000 to replace the bottom rail if damaged. This trailer rides no more than 5"off the ground its inevitable its going to scrape now and then over train tracks or etc... I accepted this also. But the female owner needed to make sure I understood I would be paying for any damage and was going to have her partner call to speak with me to make sure I was clear about this. I don't have a hearing or communication problem and being unsure of this company hiring tactics once again agreed to this. After giving them 8 hours of free labor and $250.00
for requirements, I to this day never got a call to start work. I don't even know if this is LEGAL !!
