This review is for the shipping portion only, I am still going through the claims process, that will be a separate review. Ship A Car Direct gave me a 3 day pickup window and assured me the vehicle would be picked up during this 3-day period, but no shippers even inquired. Because I was moving, this meant I now had to arrange for someone else to meet a shipper and set another 3 day window. A shipper did pick the vehicle up during this second window. During the pickup inspection the shipper documented damage that did not exist on my vehicle. Luckily pictures were taken at pickup that prove this damage did not exist. Ship A Car Direct and the shipper failed to keep me informed at all of the status of my vehicle once it was on the truck, no estimated delivery date, nothing until I complained. The dispatch for the shipper did finally contact me and told me the truck would be arriving about noon the next day and that the driver would contact me about an hour out. The truck driver called me at 4:30 AM to tell me they had arrived at the agreed meeting location. I arrived to find my vehicle had several points of damage on the front end, the hood had deep gouges and dents, the front bumpers had been rubbing on something as well, and the front headlights had been scratched badly. As it was still dark, I found more damage later in the day, the roof rack was cracked and scratched, to the point it nearly damaged the roof of the vehicle. It was plainly obvious the vehicle was under something and was bouncing and hitting. The driver tried to lie and say my vehicle was on top, in the front, so there was nothing above it, but another guy came out of the semi a few minutes later and said my vehicle had been on the bottom in the back. The driver also tried to get me to accept a $400 "discount" on the delivery fee, the hood alone costs over $600, not including paint. The driver was obviously upset that I was taking pictures and using the Ship A Car Direct app to file a claim. The quote for repairing the damage is over $4,000, basically the entire front end, hood, front bumper, headlights, grill, and roof rack all need to be replaced and painted. To say I have been less than happy so far is an understatement, but most of the issues are the fault of the shipper and not Ship A Car Direct, though they need to be more careful of who they choose to ship vehicles.
