BROKER: If this review was solely based on customer service, I would give 5 stars. Emily (from Ship a Car Direct) was the most kind person. Not only was she very nice and helpful during the entire process, she also constantly followed up via email and telephone calls. Contact Emily if you are thinking of using Ship a Car Direct.

CARRIER: I was assigned to Polar Express (trucking company) and they contacted me during pick up and while en route with my 1969 Camaro. They were courteous and communicated with me constantly.

Now the reason for less than 5 stars. As typical with car transportation, there were some difficulties getting me a carrier assigned for the price because of the remote location in Alabama. Overall everything went well, but there are inherent problems with these types of transactions.

Thank you for your honest feedback, Sergio. You are absolutely right: location affects timing & pricing. For locations off the beaten path, it is realistic to allow a little more wiggle room around timing and/or pricing, as rural locations tend to be underserved.
