Useless

I told SafeDirect the exact date that my car could NOT be picked up (also stating that any day besides that date would work fine). After contacting the carrier, it turned out to be the exact date that they planned to pick up the car (they were unaware of the the date that wouldn't work which means SafeDirect didn't communicate this crucial info to them, leaving it MY problem). After discussing this with SafeDirect, apparently I'm the one who is supposed to take care of this problem.

Also, after booking us with a carrier, their email specifically told us that we could get a cashiers check written out to "name of carrier" (which I will keep anonymous). So we did. After contacting the carrier, apparently the name was wrong and we had to reissue another cashiers check. Very inconvenient. Again, apparently, this is something that is also my fault because I was supposed to contact the carrier to clarify the name to be written on the check (as opposed to just following what SafeDirect had specifically told me to write).

Overall, I'm not pleased with the service at all and though I understand the importance of reading the fine print, I still believe that customer service is of high importance. If I tell you that I don't want the car picked up on that date and you clarify that with me, then tell the carrier that info. If it doesn't work for them, then find me another carrier and don't tell me it's basically MY issue. Also, don't tell me who to write the check out to if it could POTENTIALLY be wrong. What the hell is the point of that? Makes me feel like SafeDirect was useless and I should've just worked with the carrier directly. Would've saved me a lot of grief not having to work with the middle man.

Take care, Melissa ** It is important to read the fine print -the terms and conditions available when you place your order and on our website - or ask your sales representative for help when you need it.
