Shipping my "perfect" T-Bird

Like everyone else, I searched the internet for the best, safest, and least expensive way to ship my collector car. Safe-Direct (Jason) responded to my RFQ almost immediately, with what turned out to be the best overall quote. I even went so far as to put it out for bid on "U-Ship", which resulted in some competitive bids, but none beat Safe-Direct.
During the week or so that it took for me to make up my mind, Jason kept in touch, sending more information, testimonials, and asking if I had any questions. Never pushy, just following up.
Once I made the decision to use this company things progressed quickly and smoothly. A carrier was located; I paid the broker's fee; pick-up arrangements were made; and the car was loaded and on it's way. The shipper kept in touch while en route with updates on ETA, and arrived on time, as promised. The shipper unloaded the car and gave us plenty of time to inspect it thoroughly. When our inspection was complete (with no damage noted), I asked the shippers if they'd noticed any damage when they picked it up. They said yes, and proceeded to point it out. It was a nearly invisible speck of a chip on the headlight lens. This proved beyond all doubt that these folks were professionals...I could have looked at the car for an hour or more and never seen this "flaw".
In summary, while price was important to me, the safe transport of the car was my highest priority. I chose Safe-Direct because of their excellent quote, but I ended up getting my money's worth, and then some. This is my only experience shipping a collector vehicle, and thankfully it turned out to be painless and flawless. Thank you, and thank the shipping contractors, they were excellent!
