Tough Business

Overall I would have to say my experience was o.k., however not without concerns. This business of shipping cars is tough. I never had to do this before, so I was going in blind. Sales Direct Car Shipping took some of the guess work out, but still seems a bit awkward to have to use them to "post" your ad on a job board that another company ultimately goes out and picks up your car. I would have preferred to leave out the broker, but I'm told that's the way the business is done. I'm in a customer service industry, so I understand when a client asks when something will be done they expect you to deliver. The whole idea of giving the client a window of when the item is to be picked up, then further create ambiguity by having to deal with another resource who has their own list of variables as to when they will pick up or deliver is troublesome.

In the end, my car got here unharmed, which is great. However, because of delays I was required to cancel my plans for my weekend due to the carriers uncertainty of when they would arrive.

You live an learn I guess. Tough business of trucking cars....

Thanks for your feedback - it's true that the process is not what most customers expect. I'm glad your vehicle was delivered within 2 days. It is a good idea to keep your schedule flexible for carrier arrival.
