On the positive side, we found that Safe Direct Car Shipping was direct, and (mostly) straightforward and clear in their communications. In a business that seems to have some shady characters, Safe Direct appears to be ONE OF THE BEST!! Basically the process worked as they said it would. The car got delivered and the price was close to the original quote (though was raised $50 right before shipping). We got the car and it was reasonably priced. On the negative side, the timing of pickup and delivery was off by several hours each time (i.e., a call came to give a range of time and then that range ended up being wrong on both ends). Also the gas was completely drained from the car in shipment. We were not told this would happen and were not reimbursed for this “stolen” gas. Finally, we were told up front that we could receive an “easy” rebate of $50 when finished only to find that there were strings attached to that rebate when we actually went to get it.
