Dave with Safe Direct did a good job finding me a carrier on such short notice (4 days, 2 being a weekend).

The truck we used to transport my vehicle however, caught fire en route and delayed my car from arriving by a week (apparently no damage to my car). No one called to tell me. After a day or two past the arrival date, I spent 2 days trying to call the carrier to see what happened.

As this is not a review of my carrier but of Safe-Direct Car Shipping, I tell you that story so you know exactly what you are using. You are hiring a middle man to contact a carrier. He did his job quickly and with great results. But once the car is on the carrier (truck) you are dealing with the carrier/driver for the details.

Again, I knew this going in as I had shipped vehicles multiple times. His fee is a little high, but I consider it worth it as he was able to get me the car shipped on short notice. He also reimburses you if you fill out a review, so that helps lower the fee as well. No one has ever asked me to review them, so apparently he cares about his reputation. I plan on using Safe-Direct again in the future, just not the carrier.
