I have never used a Auto Transport before, and I hit the scam the first time. I wanted a truck moved from Kentucky to North Dakota so I put search for a transport on the internet. I received many contacts. I was contacted by Mike from Rock Bottom Auto Transport and he quoted me a price of $779 and he requested a deposit of $279. Mike wanted my bank account number so he could make a one time withdrawal but I refused and sent him a cashiers check for the deposit next day by FedEx. Mike sent a contract and it stated that the truck would be delivered on or before the end of the month (July 31) which gave him 3 weeks to deliver the truck. To make a long story short I finally canceled the contract on Aug 20th after many attempts to contact Mike and get an answer on when the truck would be shipped. Mike even blocks you phone number so you cannot call him. During this time I received many emails from other transport companies stating that the no one will pick up the truck and deliver to North Dakota. I have requested a refund of my deposit but at this time have seen no check. I finally picked up the truck myself and drove it home. After doing some checking I found out that Mike has 28 complaints against him with the Better Business Bureau in Florida for basically the same reason, collecting a deposit and not picking up the vehicle. I will make it 29 complaints. I just love it when you work hard for your money and there is someone like Mike that sits in his office and tries to see how many people he can scam money out of. He sure has developed a nice web site with many good reviews of his services, which he probably writes himself. Thanks Mike I hope you go out and buy a big steak with my money and chock on it.
