I went with Premier Auto Shippers to have my 2004 Ford Explorer shipped from GA to WA state. I signed up with them on Feb 8th and paid my deposit at that time also. Anthony Soto was my salesman. I spoke with him many times by phone and emails before actually signing up with them. I made sure I asked that if I paid the quote they quoted me will that ensure my car would be picked up by the day I requested and he said "absolutely." This was my first time doing this so it sounded good to me. I had to pay an upfront deposit of $183.99. Little did I know at this time that reputable car shipping companies with the BBB do not charge you a deposit until a carrier is assigned to your car. The pick up date I requested was Feb 28th from the start and that never changed. After signing up and paying my deposit I never heard anything from them. So about a week before I was leaving GA I gave them a call. You don't talk to the salesman again. I always dealt with Mike from then on(he was very nice). I explained how I hadn't heard anything and I was leaving in a week and just wanted to make sure my car was going to be shipped on time. He said that it would be no problem and had a number of drivers interested and that when a driver signed up to transport my car I would be contacted. Days went by and of course I didn't hear anything. So I called them, which is how it always was. They wouldn't call you unless you called and left a message with the guy who answered for him to call you back. So I spoke with him again and asked him for an update on what was going on cause I was leaving in just days. He assured me again that their would be no problem getting my car picked up. Well that didn't happen. I had to fly out on the 29th and leave my car with someone in GA. When I got to WA I got ahold of them again and it changed from no problem getting my car shipped to the drivers aren't interested because the price is too low. So they said they were going to apply my deposit toward getting it shipped and that should do it. Many more days passed and still nothing. It was well past my original pick up date and I was getting desperate so I called and told them I would add an extra $100. Still nothing. So I ended up cancelling with them and getting a refund of my deposit because the contract was not fulfilled and a carrier had not been assigned. The biggest thing is honesty and customer service. If you're in this business you should know the amount of money drivers are asking for. Not lowballing the price to get customers and their deposits and then tell them they need to pay more or basically no one is going to sign on to pick up your car. Also to never call you is horrible customer service. I should not have to keep calling you to know what's going on. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, DON'T GO WITH ANY COMPANY THAT ASKS FOR A DEPOSIT UPFRONT! You should only pay when a driver/carrier is assigned to pick up your car. Why would you pay when no one has accepted to pick up your car? I have since went with another transport company that is with the BBB and has a 5 star rating right here on transportreviews.com and had a wonderful experience.
