Does the BBB rating mean anything??

I chose National Car Transport because of their BBB rating plus their price was very reasonable. HUGE mistake!

In Feburary I started the process (with National Car Transport) of securing an April transport of my car from Florida to Michigan. I've never transported a car and wanted to be sure I was taking care of all the details.

I called/emailed several times over the next two months to be sure everything was ok. I signed a contract, making sure they were clear on the dates when the car would be available for pick-up.

I had several emails back and forth to Tom. According to him, everything was fine, that it was too early to establish an exact pick-up date, but they knew I needed the car picked up between April 11 and April 15.

I called March 31 and spoke to Harry. He told me they were "shooting for an April 11 pick-up." I was told to relax, a carrier would be calling me.

On Friday, April 8, I started to get very nervous. My car was to be picked up Monday, April 11, and I'd heard nothing.

I called National on the 8th and was informed by Gaby that there was no carrier, that I'd mistakenly been given a winter rate (even though I have documentation proving they KNEW when I needed pick-up), that no carrier would pick up my car for the rate they had quoted and contracted for, and that their carrier was unavailable.

I signed a contract with National, did everything I was told to do, and now 5 days before I'm to fly home, I find myself in this bind! I had NO idea there was a problem until I spoke to Gaby.

I guess the contracts we consumers sign are only binding by one party; that the transport company can hold up their end of the deal IF it works out for them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY under any circumstances. I have no idea how they secured their Better Business Bureau rating. It certainly wasn't from quality service!!!
