No Service

These people are unbelievably bad. When I first contacted them to move my car, they said it would take "up to two weeks to pick it up." When I placed the order on 11/14/05, they changed the promised pick up time window to "2 to 3 weeks." With Thanksgiving during that period, I understood why it might take longer.

I have called several times about the pick up. I spoke to Rita the sales agent and Bob the dispatcher. They could not and would not provide a date for pick up. They were less than helpful in trying to determine when they would offer the service. It became apparent that Bob, Rita and the Horseless Carriage Company found my car transport to be a bother.

They should have declined the business rather than stringing me along offering a service that I still do not know if they ever intended to provide.

I contracted with another highly reputable firm who picked up the car in less than 48 hours. Their service offers everything and in some instances more than Horseless Carriage.

Horseless Carriage has a great reputation. My experience left me feeling that they do not care or want to deal with individuals. If they do, they certainly do not treat their customers that way. The owner and general manager of the company should try to arrange for a pick up with his staff without them knowing who he is. It would be enlightening and embarrassing for him.

The big fleet managers must be treated better. I am sure they would not put up with such an unprofessional booking and dispatching group.

If you are an individual I would highly recommend you use one of the other reputable firms out there who want and will work to earn your business.
