They quoted a fee of $875 for transporting my car from California to North Carolina. I accepted that and I said I would have to pay thru my credit card the entire amount since I don’t have that much cash on hand. They (Bobby) said there will be no problem in accepting my credit card. I also told Bobby I did not want any issue in the last minute. He assured me there will be no issue in the last minute.
The day before the car was to be shipped they raised the amount to $1045 and an additional 3% for credit card. Since it was in the last minute, I was forced to accept that amount.
One week later, on the day of delivery, the driver called and asked me to have the “cash” ready.. I called Bobby. He said he will get back to me. In the mean time, someone from their billing department (Steve) called me and said I have to pay cash and their policy was never to accept credit cards. I called Bobby and he said he will contact Steve and get back to me. He never got back to me.
In the mean time, I had to beg and borrow from people I know here and raise the required cash.
I have now filed a complaint with the BBB.
