I contacted Direct Express Auto Transport to move a vehicle. They subcontract MetroCity Transportation.

The car was damaged upon arrival. The seller and his neighbor said the car was not damaged when the car was loaded on the truck. The bill of lading did not list any damages. The
carrier that delivered the car, Metro City Transportation, told me upon
delivery that the car had been damaged by debris in transit and that I was
to contact his boss for damages.

When I contacted Metro City Transport they have refused to pay but sent an appraiser to estimate the damages. Metro City Transport's insurance refused to pay because the estimate was below the company's deductible. I was told by Direct Express Auto Tranport that I would have to take MetroCity Transport to small claims court to collect the damages.

Our outstanding record, including A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, speaks for itself. We are sorry customer Chad Evans thinks that our driver caused 50 paint chips on the car that he bought in Virginia, but there was rust on those chips indicating prior existence. The insurance company cannot understand how the driver would have been negligent in causing that. Why Mr. Evans is not filing a small claim is a mystery. We refunded his entire deposit even though his story is doubtful. We wish Chad Evans well in all his future endeavors.
