I was referred by a friend to use Direct Express because he had used them before and had a great experience. The only negative thing was that it took 10 days for them to find a carrier for my car. Even after I "turbo charged" the order by adding $25 to the price paid to the actual transport company. (All of their business is contracted to other companies that actually do the transportation.) After that didn't help, I received this email:

"We have noticed that you have been patiently waiting for your vehicle to be assigned a driver. We too are not satisfied with how long it has taken to assign a driver to transport your vehicle. So we have refunded $25 of your deposit back to your credit card and applied that same amount $25 towards the balance owed the truck driver in hopes of moving things along."

So, they cut into their profits to move my order, which it did. I was very happy.

The driver of the transport truck was very nice. A rough older gentlemen from Minnesota. It was cold that day in St. Louis. I was shivering outside as I signed his paperwork. He commented that today was the first day he wasn't wearing long johns. Because 35 degrees was warm to him!

My car was the first to be picked up, I'm guessing because it was going the farthest. That means it got the spot right behind the cab on the lower level. Right in line for all the splatter from the truck tires. I could tell it had been a long trip. I've never seen a car that dirty! It was to be expected though and I treated her to a nice hand wash and wax down the street.

All in all, a good experience!
