I selected this company from a computer search of shippers. I looked over Auto Transport Direct and found it to have a computerized input system that was simple to follow and immediately gave me a shipping price which was quite reasonable. I had some additional questions and these were efficiently and lucidly answered at the given (800) phone number. I only had to pay about 15 % of the total cost up front, and that could be paid via my computer using a credit card. The car was picked up essentially at my house within 3 days of my order upon an agreed to date and time. The driver of the transport vehicle carefully examined my car to determine any defects or dinks it might have, marked these on a receipt and gave us a copy. This protected both myself and the shipping firm. An estimated DOA was given by the driver (8 days from pickup) and that turned out to be the day that it was delivered to the door of my son's house!
I had only one small complaint; and that was that it was very hard to track the status of the car (i.e., where it was at any time). It would have been nice if, like the UPS, ATD could have given me a tele # and a shipping code which I could then have used to track where the car was each day.
