My father gave my teenage daughter a 1999 Chevy Blazer, with the only deal being that we had to get the vehicle from Coastal Georgia to Colorado Springs. After factoring in airfare, gasoline, hotel costs, food, etc., we estimated that it would take about 3 days and cost about $800.00 to do it ourselves. For $875.00, ALL the hassle was gone when we chose Direct Express Auto Transport to ship the vehicle. The cost was over $200.00 less than any other auto transporter we checked, and the service was nothing less than phenomenal! I set up everything online on a Thursday, 4/15/10, for earliest pickup 4/22/10. After I talked with my dad, I decided the vehicle could be picked up even earlier, so I called the toll free number, talked with a CSR, and changed the earliest pickup date to Monday, 4/19/10. I got an email the next day, telling me that they had assigned a carrier. On, 4/17 or 4/18, I'm not sure which, my dad got a call from the carrier stating that they would be there on Monday, 4/19. They were on time, picked up the car in the afternoon of 4/19, and the car was delivered to my driveway on Thursday, 4/22/10, at about 10 a.m. Other than some to-be-expected road grime, the car was delivered just as it was picked up. We are retired military, and have towed vehicles on several moves. I sure wish we had used this service instead! Please feel free to contact me if you need any other info on this company - I highly recommend them. On a last note, I did not know about this web site until I got an email from Direct Express asking me to do a review, and they would rebate $10.00 of my shipping cost. That's a nice perk, but I was so impressed I would be happy to do it for nothing! Hopefully this will save somebody some time and money.
