MG TD from Tennessee to Minnesota

This was a wonderful experience !!! On Monday, ugust 31st, 2009, we called "Mercedes" @ Direct Express Auto in San Anselmo, California, after a 13 day disastrous earlier experience with another company *(no need to bad-mouth them anymore...we've left a scathing testimonial on their website.....call us if you need to know) and when speaking to Mercedes, gave her brief details of our bad experience and need for another company service. We did the contract over the phone.

The next morning we received an e-mail from Direct Express that we'd already been assigned to a carrier (P & W Trucking of Gaffney, So. Carolina) !!! WELL....that was wonderful, as never even experienced a call back from the prior contracted company! Less than 36 hours later (Wednesday, Sept 2nd) the seller of the vehicle calls and says, "Bob, go to your computer and look @ pictures" !!! And I find he'd taken pics of the MG being loaded and heading down the highway that afternoon.......the seller knowing how horrid our earlier trucking experience had been, had also actually driven down the freeway taking pics of the P&W truck heading out on the interstate !!!. Nice guy.

In the following days we had phone calls from the Driver and partnership owner of P&W Trucking of Gaffney, So. Carolina, Terry Burgess, keeping us informed of his schedule. He gave us an estimated arrival of late in the Labor Day weekend, and of course we hoped it would be earlier. On Friday night, Sept 4th, Terry, announced he was in mid-Wisconsin and would deliver the vehicle the next day. He arrived late morning on Saturday to the 'fan-fare' of neighbors and to our delight !!! We watched the unloading of the MG TD.....it arrived in perfect shape.....Terry liked the vehicle and wanted to take some pics to share with his wife and 14 year-old Grandaughter, back in So. Carolina, so Paula and I took lots of pics and forwarded copies to him. And we all made time to lunch and enjoy getting to know each other personally before Terry had to leave to make another delivery that day.

SUMMARY: This was a Polar-Opposite experience to our earlier non-successful victimizing experience with a reportedly well known company. Direct Express Auto was wonderful. I've also called Mercedes today to tell her personally our satisfaction. Terry Burgess of P & W Trucking of So. Carolina became a valued friend. Mercedes will transfer on that information to Terry and his company....and we will do the same.
