Driver damaged key, not compensated for it

When the driver from OVO Logistics picked up my car, the remote (push button) key was working perfectly. When he arrived at the drop off location, he told me the key battery died and after he replaced it, it still didn't work. I took the key to the dealership and was told that the key may have been damaged if the driver touched anything while trying to replace the battery and that it will cost $300 to replace. I called Direct Express and was told that their insurance would not cover it. Worse, I called OVO Logistics and was very rudely told they wouldn't pay a dime and hung up on me. The driver should have never touched my key. If the battery died, he should have used it manually and left me to replace the battery. Long story short, if you use this company hope they don't damage anything because if they do you'll be left to pay for it.
