The entire operation went so well it is hard to believe. Normally, as most people know, nothing goes the way it is planned or smoothly. This was not the case with Direct Express Auto transport; and on top of that their price was one seventy-five dollars less than the other two bidders. My first contact with Direct Express was with a lovely woman who was very knowledgeable and was more than capable of answering any and all of my questions. I believe the payment process is very reasonable with a down payment by credit card and the remainder in cash or cashier’s check on delivery. This is much easier and quicker that waiting for a check to be sent before the pick-up is even scheduled. The 1949 Buick which belonged to my wife's grandfather who bought it new had been sitting for nearly 20 years in the Texas sun and dust before we retrieved it to my brother's home in Oklahoma where we worked on all of the mechanical items that would make it drivable. The truck operator that came to pick up the car was pleasant and professional. He drove the vehicle onto the truck in no time flat, it was secured in place and off he went into the sunset on his way to Virginia. The driver cal on two separate occasions to relay his schedule and he delivered the Buick with in a couple of hours of his estimated arrival time, not bad when dealing with Metropolitan Washington traffic. Since we live in a very old and historic area in Fairfax County the road to our house is narrow and tree lined. Because he did not want to damage any of the low hanging branches he unloaded the car about a half of a mile away walked down to our house and explained that he would drive it down to the house, if that was acceptable. Above and beyond what most drivers would do; most would ask you to make further arrangements to get it unloaded. The whole experience was one of great satisfaction with absolutely no hassles. If I ever need to move another vehicle my first cal will be to Direct Express. Thanks for making this a no problem experience.
