I have to say, I was really leary about this process. Pay a broker, and then wait and see if a Truck Transport company called close to the scheduled p/u time. Kind of sketchy...We were transporting my daughter's Jeep to Pennsylvania for school. We new when we were leaving, and had to have the Jeep there when we arrived to get it. We had no one on the receiving end to p/u the vehicle if we were not there. I was given, "1-7 day window" for p/u. Oh Boy, what do I do? Can't have the Jeep not get there w/o us? We were planning on leaving on a Saturday, and would be in Penn. after a 2.5 day drive, then have to leave the drop off area on the following Thursday?
I set the p/u for the wednesday prior, just in case the p/u was towards the end of the window. Well, the company called to p/u the truck on that Wednesday, and planned to be in Penn on the Saturday we were leaving. Oh Crap. I called Direct express. They did everything they were supposed to do, I was not upset. I had to change the p/u at the last moment. No additional fees.
The Jeep was rescheduled for Saturday p/u. The driver came Friday night. PERFECT. They planned on dropping off the vehicle on the following Wednesday. PERFECT. We left Colorado, and wondered...
On Tuesday we heard from the Transport Company, that we would be hearing from the Driver. We heared from the driver when he was ~200 miles out, then again when he was ~50 miles out. We arranged a place to meet, and all was well. The Jeep was in excellent condition, we paid the Driver "cash", and here we are. My only concerns with Direct Express, was the "wishy washy" wide open window for Pick up. In our case that caused the most concern, we did not have someone to receive the Jeep is it was there before we arrived.
In the end I would use them again, if we have the need. The price was fair, and the company addressed all of our concerns
