Our family trip was ruined when my 2001 Ford F150 engine died on Thanksgiving day, 320 miles from home. Rather than spend time having fun we spent nearly the entire 4 day weekend trying to deal with getting home and fixing the truck (we ended up replacing engine, thank you very much Ford for your design flaw...). We encountered many, many obstacles during this ordeal and were not able to salvage any of the plans we had for our trip. We tried every option to haul the truck home ourselves but nothing was capable of towing a full size truck. We got 2 estimates to have a flat bed truck haul the truck home but they wanted between $800-1000. We ended up contacting "Direct Express Auto Transport" and they were able to transport our truck from a storage lot in AZ to our local service shop in CA - all for only $350. The process took just under 1 week, which is what they estimated. Their attention to customer service far exceeded my expectations, which even included email notifications of the transport process.

BTW, my truck also died on Easter day (2005) on our way to Bryce Canyon, forcing us to stay in St. George until it was repaired... The moral of the story? Don't buy Ford trucks, if you have one, don't travel anywhere on holidays, and if you do (and it breaks), call Direct Express Auto Transport to have it hauled back home. While it totally sucked that our trip was completely destroyed, and it cost me $5400 for a remanufactured engine and about $500 in rental car fees, one of the few bright spots was finding an inexpensive way to get my truck back home... I would recommend them without hesitation.
