This is my second car shipment. I learned a lot the hard way on the first shipment. However, i was able to apply my lessons learned working with my new BFF Kim. I talked to her and found the rates drivers were getting for my route, both high to low. She went over route history, route activity, and historic rates. The car was coming from Alamagordo, NM which is a backwater and I was worried my request would get put on a back burner. If i had plenty of time (i do not) and wanted the car to sit i could have gone low, but i decided 900 to the driver and 100 to the broker was fair and would get a good response. I have learned the hard way not to accept the low ball quotes (cough, cough, uship.com and montway, cough, cough). Kim and I agreed that my rate would get a good response and it was booked. They did not charge my card until the car was picked up. My driver is a great guy and worked well with the seller. Picked up monday, delivered wednesday and i have nothing but praise for everyone all around. Nice job, good experience, and i have a new BFF.
