DAS lied to me from the beginning. My car was dropped off to Budget Towing, DAS Anthony Texas Terminal on 22 DEC 09 to await loading for transport. When I spoke to Bernie Torres (DAS Sale Rep) by phone on 17 DEC 09, he was friendly and helpful. He promised the car would be delivered in 10-14 days; the delivery date would be 04 JAN 2010. I paid for the service in full on 22 DEC 09 and was quoted a delivery date of 04 JAN 2010. I paid $729.00 and trusted what Bernie Torres told me prior to paying with my credit card. I was also told to track the progress of my car movement of their website. After 7 days, I notice the website showed my car was still located at the terminal in Anthony, TX. I called Bernie to inquire about the delay of loading the vehicle. He would not talk to me and transferred my call to a lady name Doris (Customer Service Rep). I asked Doris the same question; she stated the delay is included into the delivery (7-10 days to load vehicle) and I should receive my car on time. She also said the car will be loaded on a truck in the next 3 days; I was told this information on 29 DEC 09. I offered to pay extra money to expedite or garuntee delivery of my car; Doris stated there is nothing I could do to speed up the process. Today (04 JAN 10) is the 14th day and my vehicle has not move from the original terminal; I talk to a person that works for Budget Towing (where my car is located) on 02 JAN 09, he stated DAS has not sent a truck to load my vehicle yet. My order date has changed 4 times; from 04 JAN to 11 JAN 10; from 11 JAN to 12 JAN 10;from 12 Jan to 13 Jan 10 and now from 13 Jan to 11 Jan 10. Status was changed to: To Be Loaded for the past few days. On 04 JAN 10, I call the terminal again to inquire about my car again, the lady said my car is still awaiting pickup and she has been waiting over 3 weeks for a DAS truck to come by and load the vehicles sitting in her storage lot. After hearing that news, I immediately called DAS to change my order to expedite my shippment. I spoke to Michelle about my car and express my interest in paying extra money to garuntee delivery or expedite the shippment. She looked in the system and told me my car will be load on a truck 06 JAN 10 to begin transport to Washington. Michelle stated once again , paying to expedite the shippment will not help my case. At this point, I don't know when I will receive my car. I fell cheated, if I were to cancel my order, DAS would charge me $150 plus storage fees. I just want DAS to deliver my vehicle ASAP in satisfactory condition; same condition as the photos taken prior to car being dropped off to terminal in Texas.

I'm also dishearten by the number of complaints against this company on the Better Business Bureau website and the amount of stress they've cause to their customers. As Active Army Soldier and Iraq veteran, I'm disappointed in the service this company provides.

DAS has researched this report. The vehicle was dropped off at the origin terminal three days before Christmas. Regrettably, we failed to properly advise this customer of the potential holiday delays (our drivers like to spend family time during the holidays as most people do) which caused a delay in our ETA of approximately 7 days. Please keep in mind that this customer did not purchase a guaranteed transit time option when he first booked the order. Although he offered to pay for expediting well after we had the car, it would have only marginally effected the transit time at that point. Therefore, we felt it would be dishonest to take any addtional funds from the customer. We apologize for not explaining this clearly enough and the inconvenience caused.
