I received quotes from 10 transport companies, and Crossroads said that they would do it for 925.00. After placing the order in March, they suggested that I make it 950.00 because a transporter may not pick it up for 925.00. I reluctantly agreed to 950.00. The car sat until August. That was 5 months. Meanwhile, they refused a refund, would not call back and when I finally got someone on the line, they kept wanting more money. After 5 months, and no hope of getting my money back, I agreed to 1300.00. But when all was said and done, it cost me $1425.00 to ship. That was a far cry from 925.00. I had to drop the car off in the middle of the night and pick it up in a different location in the middle of the night. No follow up call from them. Here is what they told me before I signed, "The price to ship your 2003 Honda Element on Open carrier from *******, PA to ********, WA is $925. (Door to door service. Fully licensed, bonded and insured. Includes all costs, fuel, mileage, tolls, etc.)" The funny thing is in that same quote they said,"*Beware of the “low-ball” offers. Don’t automatically go with the lowest price! Many companies lure unsuspecting customers with the lowest bid. They then need to locate a carrier to physically move your vehicle. If the carrier does not accept the low price (and generally they don't), then your vehicle will not be moved. The company then will request more money from you to get the vehicle moved. There is an old adage that says "if you pay peanuts you get monkeys." Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra money upfront on a company that will value your business and take good care of you. " Do yourself a favor, find another company to do business with.
