AWFUL! DISHONEST! RUDE! I cannot emphasize this enough!!

In June, I spoke to a salesman with whom I booked 2 car transports (myself and my boyfriend's) from Nevada to Illinois. He assured me that the car would be picked up on a certain date, as our transport was time-sensitive, and I had to start a new job within the next week and a half. He told me that if I gave him a deposit on a credit card, everything would go according to planned.
On the day he *assured me* my car would be picked up, no one ever called or came. I called Nicole (?) in customer service 3 times that day, she answered only once, saying she would have the tow driver call me. No one ever called or showed.
The next day, I called and was able to get Nicole on the line again - she told me they never promise certain pickup dates and that I would just have to wait until a carrier was available, while serving up a very rude attitude (no apologies for the blow-off the previous day). I called again later that day to cancel, and was told my 300.00 would be promptly refunded the next day and both my orders would be cancelled. I ended up booking with another company, which went smoothly.
Upon opening my bill the following month, I found that Cross Country 300.00 had never been refunded as promised. I wrote an email inquiring as to why this was never put back on my card, to which they never replied. I am in the process of disputing the card charge and filing a complaint with the BBB.
In short, this company has horrible customer service and they are dishonest. Do NOT book with them!!

In regards to this complaint. All of our pick up times, delivery times, and time in transit are sticky estimated. We are hired as the broker to find a driver to pick up our customers cars. It is impossible to know an exact day that a driver will be at a certain location to pick up a vehicle. We go by what the driver tells us. We do our very best to keep the customer up to date and informed. If this customer was to call our office and speak to a customer service rep they would be more then happy to help her resolve this problem and have her refund applied to her credit card. If we don not provide a service we do not keep the money. We are an extremely reputable company and take pride in our work. We do apologize for this inconvenience this may have caused her.
