I'm going to say some negative things in this review, but note that they are NOT about Kimberly and Cascade.

I originally contracted with another top-rated company (I won't say the name here, but you can contact me through this site). It was a disaster; after a week of waiting, they didn't have transport for my car. When I called them*, I was unable to get ahold of my rep, and I found out that a bid had been made on transporting my car, and she hadn't even informed me of it (this was three days later). None of the other reps would help me.

I was at the end of my wits; my move was coming in a two days, and I had no way to transport my car! In desperation, I decided to see if someone could arrange for transportation on such short notice. My first call was to Cascade, and I spoke to Kimberly. She listened to my situation, and said that she would jump on it right away, calling her carriers (rather than waiting around for them to contact her), and that she was pretty sure she would be able to arrange something ASAP.

Within an hour, she had transportation arranged. It would leave a little after my move, so I had to leave the car with someone, but I lived in a small, out-of-the-way town, so I wasn't expecting a truck to roll up the next day. My car was picked up on the second, with an estimated delivery date of the twelfth, and the car was delivered almost a week before that date. Kimberly kept in touch with me; I didn't have to chase her down. If she said she would check and call back, you could plan on her calling back. All of this "white glove service", "five star service", and "gold service" is nonsense. My contact at the original transport company was nothing more than a customer service representative (and not a very good one at that); Kimberly is an expert professional. She doesn't just take care of you, she gets things done.

My only issue, and I believe this to be standard practice, is that I had to pay the balance (something like 80%) in the form of a cashier's check (or cash, I suppose), either at pickup or delivery. Fortunately, a friend held my car and managed the pickup, and he gave them the check I had given him. I was not at my destination when the car was dropped off, so if I hadn't paid at pickup, I would have had my car dropped at an impound lot, at about $10/day. Normally, I love early, but I wasn't made aware of this, and since the car was a week early, this could have easily been another $100. I suppose the carriers don't want the risk of disputed credit card charges. LESSON LEARNED: pay up front.

All of the quotes I received were within $100 range of difference, on an approximate $1200 total. I don't know if Cascade was the most or least expensive, but even if they were, an extra $100 is worth the piece of mind I got from having Kimberly in my corner.

My car was left parked legally, on my street, and very close to my house. The carrier and driver did their work wonderfully, and I'm only sorry I wasn't there to thank them at the end. There was not damage to my car at all.

* - I should have called earlier, but if you are reading this, you know how hectic a move can be, and besides, I was in good hands, and they wouldn't let me down, would they? (Answer: yes, they would let me down).
