Big promises, No delivery

Scheduled for a vehicle recovery from Florida after conversing with an agent at Movewheels.com on Friday before a scheduled pickup on Wednesday of the next week. Called on Wednesday to find out what the status was on the pickup and as informed the agent had just started looking for a driver - As most trucks are scheduled at the beginning of the week, this was now not going to happen. Was told that the Florida to Texas route is not a busy route - really? Pulled up the hotshot list to see my delivery with a COD price now at $150 more than original quote. Called at the end of the day - no return call and never heard from again. Horrible communication, horrible preparedness and overall would never bother to schedule with again. I'm just glad that this was not a Port recovery or Movewheels.com would have cost me big time.

Dear Shane Mitchell, I am sorry we were not able to get you the carrier. Just at that point the majority of them were going different routs from South Florida to North and less carriers were going from West Florida (Saint-Petersburg) to Texas. We have spoken to a lot of them and we have found a carrier for the pick up on the day after what we were aiming for. We did everything from our side to find and assign you a carrier, but we are not able to influence carrier availability of the specific routes. We always pick up the phones, you can check, it is easy to reach us even on the weekends just simply calling us or texting, or sending email. We were keeping you informed how the process is going, the current situation on the route, the progress with carriers. Our dispatch department started working on getting the driver assigned even before we finished placing an order. Because of high competition we do it right away and we are not interested in messing up your time, because we also care about your time frames. We do not charge any deposit upfront, so we are interested as much as you do in getting your car picked up. We do not get our commissions for just placing an order. I am sorry that the carrier we found was not able to fit your time frames. We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences with your shipment.
