This was my 3 transport (2nd as coast to coast). It was the 1st time I used a broker. I negotiated the price with Amerifreight and they were prompt to find a transporter (paid an extra $45 to pick the same day..sounds awesome right!?!). I was not given information about different versions of transport (ie Premium and/or Economy) nor did I sign anything. They simply took payment over the phone and the process was under way. The driver setup 5 days to deliver the car. Truck breaks down 125 miles away from my home (the night before delivery). The driver was extremely rude. Threatening over the phone. The dispatcher hung on me and refused to return my calls during this whole time I cannot even raise my voice to dispatcher or driver (in fear of them screwing with my car). Very frustrating and I had to end up going to pick up the car myself with police escort (because the drive of V-Z Transport..he was the owner of the transport..was threatening). All and all it was a nightmare and all AmeriFreight did while I was in route to pickup my car is that they explained different services to me and that I had signed paperwork to prove it. When Jasmine told me that I was very upset. The part that really upsets me the most is the fact that AmeriFreight lied to my ear (talking over the phone). Anyway..I would not recommend a broker (middleman). Next time (I buy cars around the country) I will transport directly from the a big company. I forgot to mention that there was 270 miles unaccounted for on the vehicle and the passengers side molding was damaged. Nightmare..
