Long delay to finally receive car

I chose Amerifrieght because of the high ratings online. I can see why they have such high ratings; the customer service is really good, Aaron and/or Amy always responded promptly to my questions, and they were very knowledgeable.

The reason I would not use this service again, though, is because of how long it took to finally receive my car after the initial pick up date. I went for the economic plan to save money, so originally my bid was for $870. Five days went by and no truck carriers signed up for my car. After the fifth day, my file was transferred over to Amy who is the manager and gave special attention to my file to secure me a truck carrier. I increased my bid by $100 from my own personal money, and Amerifreight also added on $50 because of the delay in securing a carrier for me.

With this increase in my bid, I was able to secure a carrier within a day. HOWEVER, the carrier wasn't scheduled to come until a week later. After that, the carrier further postponed the pick-up date by 4 days because of "motor issues" with the truck carrier.

This process was extremely frustrating because I needed my car in Maryland. I contacted Amerifreight to see if there was anything they can do to expedite the process, either find me another carrier or reduce the amount of money I was paying the truck carrier who was coming extremely late. But, it seemed like Amerifreight and Aaron didn't care about me anymore after they charged me the deposit and connected me with the truck carrier; I never got a response to my email.

So overall, it was good and bad: good in the sense that Amerifreight will work closely with you before they charge you, but after that you're on you're own.
