OK brokering, poor trucking

We had a large truck to ship and this might be partly to blame, but I would definitely not waste the time in choosing the economy saver plan. If you have weeks to wait for a truck to pick up your vehicle then, the economy saver is for you. If you would like it picked up in a somewhat timely manner, then choose a different plan. Also, when our truck was picked up, we were told on the order sheet that it would be delivered within 2 days of August 6, 2010. The truck driver himself also told the dealership that the truck was at that it would be to us by the 6th. However, we didn't receive the truck until August 10th. We were told later that they only give out estimated dates, but the paperwork did not reflect that it was an estimate as to when delivery would be made. I can't fully blame Amerifreight, a lot of it was due to the truck company J&P Auto. The staff at Amerifreight did seem like they were trying to help us and they have no control over what happens once it gets picked up.

The Economy rate is a standby rate, and we agree with the customer...if you are looking to ship within a specific time frame, we recommend shipping at an upgraded rate. The Economy rate is designed for those who do not have a time frame and are wanting to get the best price. Our First Class rate is the only rate that comes with guaranteed delivery dates. This order was handled by our Shipping Agent- David, direct line- 678-369-0942.
