Our company plan was to ship a corporate vehicle from Virginia to South Dakota for our staff that was starting a project on Monday, August 2nd. When searching for quotes for transporting the car, one of the questions I asked was how long it would take for the car to go from VA to SD. The representative with AmeriFreight told me 5 to 7 days. What the representative didn’t share with me was that the mid west, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska is not a well traveled route so there was a chance that the car would run late in leaving and arriving in SD. Due to this lack of information the team that I ended up working with at AmeriFreight were very diligent in assisting me in find a transport going to a destination about 354 miles from where the care needed to be in SD. AmeriFreight was able to book the car on a transport which left here on Thursday and arrived in the alternate destination of Denver, CO.

The customer is correct in that mid-portions of the U.S. can sometimes have delays in shipment. The customer opted for our Select rate, which typically gets vehicles picked up within 2 business days. When we saw it was going to be delayed, AmeriFreight added money from our side to help get it moved. We do apologize for any inconvenience for the customer; and we appreciate the customer's flexibility and patience as we re-routed the shipment to get it moved.
