I had problems with pick-up of my vehicle. I even paid extra for the 48 hour window which didn't happen. It was critical that I got my car picked up by Thursday, June 17th at the latest. It was ready for pick-up as early as Monday, June 14th. The pick-up did not happen until Friday morning due to various glitches throughout the process and that was with some strings being pulled to make that happen.

The shipment ended up costing me more money then I originally was quoted due to the unfortunate breakdown of the driver who was originally dispatched on my truck. The new driver was not able to get my vehicle until Friday morning. I thought this would be too late as I had a one way ticket to DC on Saturday morning. I unfortunately did not accept this pick-up because I was assured by a different broker they could get the job done for me in the time frame I needed. Little did I know, the same process by the new broker would be used by posting the load on a board that everyone could see.

The new broker did not come through for me and I was nearing crunch time. I went back to AmeriFreight to see what they could do to help me. They did come through for me in the end by using a carrier to at least get my car picked up from me and store it at a local lot until a truck would be in the area for pick-up. I was informed that the time frame for delivery would be ten to fourteen days. Sure enough, it hit the fourteen day make before I received my car.

The agents that I dealt with however were professional but very hard to get a hold of in some cases. I think possibly AmeriFreight needs to staff more workers and be available longer hours for the West Coast people to contact them with critical issues or concerns.

This customer placed a Select Order which has a 48 hr pickup window. As stated, this did not happen. AmeriFreight added money from our side in order to try to expedite this for the customer, but still had difficulty. Some routes are just difficult at different times. We are thankful that in the end we were able to help this customer get the vehicle shipped and that it was recieved in good condition.
