First, let me start off by saying that all my interactions with Amerifreight (both Jonathan and Amy) were handled professionally. Since this was my first time shipping a car, it turned out to be a great learning experience about how the business works and how to manage expectations. I originally opted for the least expensive price - $725, but had no takers. Finally after a month I increased my price, and two weeks later got a carrier to take it. The learning experience is that Amerifreight cannot guarantee a specific service on a specific at an exact price. They are subject to the market and can only offer an educated guess. It is up to the independent carriers to agree or negotiate a higher price depending on market conditions - popularity of the route, etc.
