Unclear about payment methods

The broker rep did not make it clear to me that there would be a C.O.D on delivery of the car. Although it was in the paperwork, I didn't notice that until the driver called the day before delivery to arrange for delivery and mentioned the C.O.D. Since I was shipping from CT to FL to my son, we had to do some scrambling to get the money in time for the delivery. Thie scrambling could have been avoided, had the broker rep made it clear from the start that my credit card payment was only for the broker fee, and that the transport payment was due on delivery.
