Auto transport process

This whole process was a little more time consuming then I thought. I signed up for the plan that guaranteed my vehilce picked up within a week. That did not happen and Amerifreight did lower the cost as they stated but the overall communication was not what I thought it should be. Getting a hold of my agent/agents was hard at best and I ALWAYS had to leave a voicemail. I also was under the impression that there would only be one transport vehicle involved but in this case, I had one truck pick it up and another deliver it to my house. In between that time, it sat at an auto yard for a week. My experience with the transport company itself (DAS) was great. I was able to track the vehicle online and the driver worked with me regarding the actual delivery. The overall process took almost 2 months and in my mind that was unacceptable. My impression after talking to other transport companies is that this is not the norm so maybe this was a fluke thing.

The customer is correct; 2 months is not the norm. Some routes at particular times can be tough to secure a carrier. As mentioned in our quote terms, if a vehicle is not picked up the customer has the option to add money, wait, or cancel. This customer was very patient and willing to add money to help us secure a carrier. Our goal is for every customer to have excellent service from our office staff as well as the carriers we choose. We are glad to hear that the customer was satisified with the carrier. This person's order was handled by our Shipping Agent, Jonathan- direct line 678-369-4162.
