I was quoted $905 total for a 5 day guaranteed pickup window. I thought that was fair and they had good reviews so I chose them. I tried to contact them on the 2nd and 3rd day for pickup to see if everything was ok and no answers or calls returned. On the 4th day of the 5 day window I called them and was told it wouldn't be picked up in the 5 day window, eventhough they say in the quote its "Guaranteed 5 day pickup for $145 more"? Then I scrambled to get other carries, found others that could but were a lot more due to short notice, finally on the 6th day they found a carrier but charged me $100 more than originally quoted. I had no other choice and had to go with it. Had i known the hassel and outcome I would of went with another company

We do apologize for the frustration. Our goal is to provide open communication and excellent service to every customer. When placing an upgraded order, AmeriFreight will add some additional money to the COD amount if it is not picked up by the guaranteed date. Occasionally a route can be tough to get a carrier for. Our staff will do everything they can to ensure a pickup by the guaranteed date; otherwise, the customer has the option to continue to wait, upgrade to the next rate, or cancel with a full refund. We are sorry that the customer did not understand this upfront. We aim to be very open with the entire shipping process.
