First time shipping a car-Would do it again now.

My husband is an engineer working on a contract in Idaho and we needed to ship our car to him quickly so he no longer needed a rental. We don't have a lot of money, and we had never shipped a car before so, this could have been a very scary process. Our car is also only about 8 months old so, we were nervous. I priced almost every company with 4 stars and up on the Transport Reviews website. Amerifreight had the lowest price by far. I waited a bit too long to arrange the shipment and my quote expired so I asked for another quote online and this one was even cheaper. It was about 800$ for the cheapest option. We decided to upgrade to a more expensive option because my husbands company was hoping he could stop renting a car very soon. The upgraded option was priced at the same rate as some of the other companies cheapest option, so we were still pleased. Aaron called me and left me a message after I requested the rate but didnt hound me like some of the other quoters did. I appreciated that a lot because that can be a bit off-putting even though theyre just doing their job. It just made me even more sure about Amerifreight because he seemed very confident in his quote and company. There were no hidden costs and everything was as promised.

From the day I called Aaron to setup my order to the day the car was picked up, it was 2 days. When I setup my order, Aaron immediately emailed me all the forms I would need to fill out, and took my deposit over the phone. I was very happy with how quickly he was able to help get it all started. The very next day, I received a call from one of his colleagues saying that there was a pick up window available already with Dependable Auto Shipping. They kept me completely updated on the progress of the order and I never felt out of the loop. The driver personally called me to schedule the pickup and was there when he said he would be. When the car shipped, I had some trouble with the computer tracking system because I wasnt sure of my order number (my fault) and Aaron got hold of the information for me and helped me keep track of the car and figure out when it would arrive. I was never left in the dark wondering what the heck had happened to my car. DAS was just as courteous and I appreciated the great communication they had with Amerifreight.

The driver called my husband the day before he expected to arrive and gave approximate time and discussed where to meet him. He then called him on the day of to confirm and was there just as arranged. He even offered to drive my husband back to the rental company to make the transfer easier. So very nice of him, above and beyond. Our car was hardly even dusty, and not a scratch on it after traveling cross country on an open carrier. Its a brand new car as I said, so this was just wonderful for us.

All in all, the experience was quite pleasant and stress free and I would definitely use Amerifreight again. For someone who had never shipped a car before and was nervous about the process, I was completely reassured and confident in Amerifreight and the driver. I will recommend the company to anyone who is thinking of shipping a car. Aaron did a great job. Everyone I spoke to from Amerifreight and also DAS was so polite and well spoken, very courteous and professional.
