I obtained a shipping quote for $450 and was told that if I wanted my vehicle to be picked up that I would have to add $50. I was given a pickup date and that date was cancelled by the carrier without Amerifreight ever informing me. When I called into the dispatch team, I spoke to Rachel and she said she would find another carrier and call me back shortly (we first spoke approx 11am). I called 3 times up until 5pm so I could let the person shipping the vehicle know when they would be there. I was left on hold for approx 15-20 minutes each time and I was clearly being avoided so I hung up. I did receive a call later that night (approx 730pm) from Rachel stating she found a carrier. The driver (SDM TRANSPORT DO NOT USE THEM) never contacted the person waiting to ship the car in Texas and just showed up unannounced. The driver was rude when he picked up the vehicle and was rude to talk to over the phone. When I got my vehicle delivered, it had damage to the rear end and scratches all over the sides and top of the car. Due to the driver yelling and becoming confrontational with me, I had to call the police to ensure the situation would remain calm. Although the bill of laden had only (1) small scratch marked on the rear end and no other damage noted, the shipping company refuses to pay for the damage and Amy from Amerifreight is now assisting me to try to get their insurance company to get repairs complete. Amy is the one person at Amerifreight that has consistently followed up and offered consistent and timely assistance. The only reason I offer any stars in my rating is due to Amy.
