Waste of time :(

I was quoted a price from Jonathan and was told "this is a really good price for the drivers" meaning it would likely be picked up, and in a reasonable amount of time (don't believe them when they say 80% of their cars get picked up within 3 to 5 days). After a week of hearing nothing, I contacted them to learn that they "had someone interested and were verifying their information." When I didn't hear from them again, and had to call once again to find out the status of my shipment, I was told "they just didn't get it verified in time, and the driver wasn't available to pick it up." I was then told, in order to get it picked up, I would probably have to add money to the shipment, on top of what I was already quoted, or it might not get picked up, and they would cancel the shipment after the 15th day. Now if this is the game, I should have just been quoted a higher price in the first place, instead the strung me along for the 15 days, then sent me an email to let me know they were cancelling the shipment of the car, and refunding the deposit. No phone call, no sorry we lied to you, just an automated email. Upon calling another company to set up the shipment, they laughed when I told them original price of Amerifrieght and filled me in on the "game". Glad someone was honest.

Our goal is to offer excellent service, and we are sorry to hear that this customer did not have that experience. The customer did place his order at the Economy rate, which as stated in our terms it is a low rate, standby pickup time, and that the customer may need to consider adding money to get it moved. Economy rate is ideal for those not in a time sensitive situation and want to save money. As also stated in the terms, if there is not a carrier within 15 business days, AmeriFreight will cancel out the order with full refund unless the customer notifies us that they wish to continue to wait. Every customer is notified 3 days prior to the 15th business day to let them know of their options. We did not hear back from this customer to continue the order, so we did cancel out the order. We apologize if the customer felt misled in any way. All of our terms of quote are explained on our website and on our order forms which each customer signs.
